After a lifetime of being treated like a pariah, Declan's a fae on a mission: Take down Faerie's oppressive power structure from the inside. But first, he needs a soulbond. Too bad every potential match in Faerie has rejected him. Well, he'll just have to get creative. And he's always had a soft spot for humans.

Antonio, a tattooed gearhead with a record, has a mission, too: Avoid the fae at all costs. He's been there, done that, and has the PTSD to prove it. Sure, he's screwed up his life in more ways than he can count. But it's his life. Then, the fae he used to belong to returns. This time, planning to keep him forever.

Antonio has one chance to escape: sell his soul before the fae he most fears takes it. If the buyer happens to be a scorching hot punk with bone wings, it certainly makes a bitter pill easier to swallow. And Declan, he can't turn down the wounded, dark-humored man who asks him for help.

Together, they dive into the world of fae intrigue, supernatural hitmen, and family strife. Oh, and the awkwardness of falling hard when their bond is only supposed to be a business arrangement...

"Declan is a real one and Antonio has the swagger to match him. Their love story is far from easy, with some heavy topics covered, but not only are they written with the respect and grace they deserve, Antonio and Declan smash through their trials with a grim and stubborn determination that is impossible not to love. It's healing to read."

"This book is everything.
Political intrigue, messed up fae and humans, evil a-holes, good a-holes, and some decent folk too.

The world building is incredible, and Theo and Rowan are my MUST-READ authors!"

"This is such an incredible love story; my heart ached for these two as they struggled to find the path that was right for them in a world (worlds?) that would fight to keep them apart and keep them down.

Rowan Amaris and Theo Behr have a style that is all their own, and I fell in love with the writing as much as I fell for Declan and Antonio (and oh! how I love them)."

@jengirlreads

"A perfect blend of romance, fantasy, and intense social commentary.

The prose is as amazing as the first one, with a poetic quality that inspires so much longing but it also has a sharp edge. It's evocative and raw."
